How to disassemble an Oracle without breaking it

Post by BarryEye » Sun Sep 09, 2007 8:41 pm

Does anyone know how to disassemble an Oracle without breaking it? Can it be pulled apart at the rotary joints without breaking?

I need to cobble up an interface and I'm thinking of using a SEAcure diving mouthpiece with a snorkel to transition from the SEAcure oval outlet to a round tube, but I need the exhale/pressure relief parts from an Oracle. Some swiveling would be nice to retain, too. I'm a teeth grinder and need to come up with something more comfortable than the standard Oracle. Hurts my teeth too much.

I have to stay with an oral interface. I've got a Jones tube tear duct that shoots air out my eye if I pressurize my upper airway. Nasal interfaces or the Total Face Mask screw up my ears and give me vertigo, too.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can take it apart -the grey ring disconnects from the elbow. If thats not you need to know pm me with more details.

Thanks for the tip. I just wasn't forceful enough with it. Normally I'd hate to break up something that expensive, but what the hey, it wasn't working for me anyway.

Went out and picked up a snorkel to cannibalize today. Molded the boil and bite SEAcure to my teeth last night. I'll be fitting pieces together this week in hopes of trying it out this weekend.
