As Mindy says, Don't let things work you up. The "M"agic model get 5/7's of the data that the "Classic" provides, It's replacement, The XYZ model, may only provide 3/7's of the weekly data, it won't matter, people will still buy it. A lot of the people live under the impression newer is better, the facts are, newer is cheaper built, and more disposable, at a higher price.
If I hadn't secured enough "Classics to last me many years, I'd go with another brand, something that doesn't start with a "R", be happy with what you have, the next offering will be poorer. The data loss doesn't affect making decisions on your treatment. Treatment is driven by trends and even 4 days can show you that.

Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

Re: Encore Pro software missing data - my email to Respironics
I bumped this thread last night to point out Respironics was aware of the missing data issue a year ago with Nodzy's email (it was the easier thread for me to find), however once the m series came out in 2006, members of this forum started telling them about it.
So this has been going on for over 2 years I expect. Will Respironics change and fix it? I doubt it.
We are not their customers. The DMEs are. Do the DMEs give a flying leap if we get data? Nah, once we are out the door with machines the average brick and mortar DME only want our return business for overpriced hoses, masks, and filters.
An email or snail mail campaign will only fall on "deaf ears".
Remember now that Respironics changed ownership this year.
