My dog ate my mask-again!

Post by doglover » Wed Aug 25, 2004 1:17 pm

I have been using a gel mask, and my dog has eaten the cushion again, second time. Is there a mask that dogs don't seem to like? And will that gel hurt them? Getting costly here, and I can't get rid of the dog.

Help me!

Hiya Doglover,

I had the same problem with a kitten. The very first day my machine was delivered my cat bit the hose and caused an air leak.

What I did was severly scolded the cat and then found a safe place to keep my mask and hoses while I was not wearing them.

Finally, everytime the cat came near the mask and hoses and look curiuos, I gave her a snear. That seemed to do the trick.

You have to show the animal who is boss, even though we all know that the animal always wins.

Good Luck!

Vics Vapo Rub will stop chewings - smear a little on your mask/hose

It's also great for cords if your animals go after them as well

a little dab'll do ya

An ounce of prevention (putting the mask away where the dog can't get it) is worth a pound of cure or lots of $$$ to replace it.

My two cats went after the hose only after I dressed hose in "snuggle hose" and punctured several holes. I was able to tape hose with wide masking tape untill replacement arrived. Since I've been hiding equipment in a closet. Hose goes on a wide hook high on the door and breeze just below on another hook. I still have to "watch" them during the night not to sneak up on me with all the parafinelia on and it seams to me they have never lost interest in this new addition in "our" bed:) Cats will be cats, that is why we have them and love them.

Geee the dog that like eating your nasal mask, what a pain-o!!!! I bet it messed up that mask good and properly. Beside Vic-vap-o-rub.....tiger balm would do the trick!!! {That stuff taste dreadful!!!]

I have put it up my nose and it nearly killled my sinuses!!!! But it great for detouring insect as well. Nothing like waking up at night with a moth in your mask!!!m Ughhhhhhh!!!!!

Yeah, moth speical when u swallow it!!!!! Yucky, a furry feeling!!!
