As you can tell, still do not have software reading and storing the data. Still need help resolving.

Ok -- time to start the Rod Serling music again.....

For grins (and maybe my propensity to encourage frustration dealing with my computers) I tried to download my data again......It worked!!!

I have done nothing!! Absolutely nothing. Just my usual job searching, posting, and using my APAP machine as usual.....(Well...I did fix smilies in my Thunderbird mail upgrade, but......if you can draw a line from that one, you're a better man/woman that I!!!! Though I guess I'd have to admit, I've seen stranger things with computers!!!!!)

I've been very curious about my Aura/Headrest/EVO mask since I started using it (and REALLLLLLY like it!!!). It's working great -- even the night I posted the "tried different masks and had leaks" thread -- AHI was only 3.4 (which is high in comparison to other nights and included 3 masks that all leaked badly).....

Anyway -- I'd have to say from my own experience that Encore Pro software is FLAKEY!!!!!! I can draw no other conclusion.... (If I'd done something I'd suspect pilot error -- but nada!!!!)

cheers

Good morning, Goose

Oooh - that Twilight Zone theme gives me goose bumps

Yes, I have seen much stranger! I vote for gremlins as the cause

I've been pulling apart EncorePro, uninstalling, reinstalling and extracting to Access so I can see what the darned data looks like. It's no wonder the card only holds about a weeks worth of data - it goes minute-by-minute. Unfortunately it got my brain working again like it used to ... which results in sleepless nights. So I'm backing off for a bit.

Glad to hear the mask is working well. I'm still "playing" but can't complain too much with an average 35% leak rate and no large leaks.

Ta Ta,
Mindy

Hey Mindy -- that curiosity will getcha every time.
Gets me all the time.
I'll have all this resolve not to get involved, but a quick peek here and a small poke there and once again I'm hooked!!!
Totally understand!!!!

Only thing that bothers me about the "fix" is that it'll probably happen again!!!
Oh well....

Someone said that there'll be a version for "users" out in October -- we'll see. Wonder what their going to charge us for that....My contention is that it should be included with the machine!! I'll believe it when I see it.....

cheers

Good evening goose!

Yes, I've gotten hooked way too many times. Every time I swear I'm not going to do it again ..... hah!

If I had to guess, the version for users will be a report generator. If they do a quick job, it will likely be EncorePro without the multi-patient and prescription parts and probably a simpler interface. If they do a thorough job, they might redo but the results will likely be similar. Also if they're smart, they'll keep it simple to minimize software support problems.

I think I need to get a computer-obsessive avatar....man (or in this case, woman) merged with machine.

cheerio,
Mindy

Goose,

Are our computers linked here someway? I have never been able to download my smartcard since I loaded the software. Tried different computers.......no go. This morning I tried one more time and like you...............it downloaded the data! The only thing I did was download a program update for bowling (which by the way, crashed). Do you think we both picked up some virus or somethng?
do....... da .......do .......da do .........da.......... do........da

Mikey,

So happy to hear you were finally able to download your data. From my many years of dealing with computers, I think I can say that although I often think there are gremlins, there is *always* a reason, even if we can't figure it out!

Sometimes it's affected by what's in memory, how often you restart your computer (some software doesn't do a good job of cleaning up after itself), etc etc. ad nauseum.

I've quit trying to figure out the "why" for everything or I would have given up computers years ago

Mindy
