Hot Transformer Block

Post by Yoga » Tue Sep 04, 2007 6:53 pm

The transformer block on my husband's Respironics Auto Bipap's machine gets very hot after running all night. Does anyone know what the normal temperature range should be when it is operating?

The temp depends on many things, room temp, air circ, power draw, but you should be able to hold it with no discomfort. Jim

Do not cover or wrap it, set it on something fireproof if you want to be extra safe, when they fail they usually open up and shut down.
