My 1st thought is WHY ? - what can it do that isn't covered in the S8 range.
The H/H water bottle looks like a Fisher & Paykel one ?
It looks like a super low cost basic CPAP.

Re: Just found this 'new' Resmed CPAP !!! - C-Series Tango
That seems to be the market position. Lots of people in lots of places (even the US of A) have no medical insurance, or medical insurance that wont cover any sort of CPAP machine, so basic is better than nothing. It looks like a super low cost basic CPAP.
As I'm sure you are aware, in Australia you can get a sleep study and CPAP prescription for no cost under the Medicare Australia federal public health services but there is nothing under Medicare or any other federal public health service that will provide any subsidy for a CPAP machine, let alone provide one at no cost. The state/territory public health delivery services might (if you are lucky to live in the right location) provide a CPAP machine at low or no cost, but its very hit and miss support, and so many low income earners just miss out!
What medical equipment subsidies are available directly to patients anywhere in Australian public health delivery services generally end up being expended on dialysis machines and similar, before they get around to supporting CPAP machines.
Cheers,
Bill
I agree there is a need for a good, basic, bare-bones, inexpensive CPAP for those w/no insurance and limited income.
I just couldn't resist the C and Cheap. Much as I love my Resmeds (both fully data capable) I just couldn't resist, I just couldn't. Resmed asked for it. Not too bright to attach C-series as a label for their lower end CPAP in my opinion!! Even E for Economy would have been a better idea. Just like hotels usually skip a 13th floor I'd have skipped C as a choice for a line of economy CPAPs.
