warranty is only as good as the company is that stands behind it. If there are gone in 10 years you only have a 10 yr warranty, then if they honor it that is something else altogether.

As an OWNER of a Sleep Number bed I purchased back in 1992 that I'm still using, that I paid $1,725.00 for delivered to my front door back then, if I had to buy another bed today it would be another Select Comfort, in fact they just sent me some more discount coupons for pillows and a new bed if I was considering that (don't need one).

I never had: Single problem with the bed, the air bladders, pump or remote, only thing I've done to it was put a new 9-volt battery in the remote control and sleep on it.

So my Select Comfort is at a minimum of 15 years old and no real signs of wear, I keep a good quality mattress cover on it always have, it has moved with me once during that time.

Half the "hype" demonstrated on those Tempurpedic infommericals is just that all hype and total BS especially as it relates to Select Comfort. They target SC because the product has proven itself over and over again and withstood the test of time.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Well, it is a great bed to lay on your side while watching TV - my arm and shoulder did not go to sleep. Since The Closer, Saving Grace and Cold Case were on, I was afraid to check my stats this morning.

Also as noted - get the model with two controls and the "memory/fill" buttons. Since the ISO has OCD - the bed must be made within 30 seconds of me getting up - the one button fills the bed so it is easier to make, then press the memory when you are ready to unmake.

I guess I slept ok, cats did not, dog likes it. A 70 pound German Shepard getting off the bed does change your "sleep number" a bit.

Select Comfort AAAAA+

Post by KAZ » Tue Aug 28, 2007 12:44 pm

My good wife was able to sleep on a Select Comfort at her Sister's house, and we bought one in 1999 with the wireless remote. We have never had a minutes trouble and never have to add air unless we choose to change the setting(mine at 66/hers at 35). We paid $1800 for a king including foundation. Before I discovered my SA I went up to 406 lbs, so, my side received a real test. We have never regretted our decision, and feel the bucks were well spent. Regards
