The lungs supply oxygen to the bloodstream. When the air ways are obstructed, the lungs do not receive the oxygen to supply to the blood stream.

In relation to what? Exercise? Sleep apnea? Asthma? COPD? We could better suggest links if we had an idea of what kind of oxgen saturation you are interested in.

What have you done or tried to reduce the mask leaks? Do yuo have your own recording pulse oximeter? How do you know that you are desaturating?

I've not used a full face mask but from all I've read it is more difficult to get a good seal w/the full face masks. Do you have the option of trying yet another mask or are you pretty much stuck w/trying to find a way to make one or the other of these two masks work for several more months?

What kind of leak rate is your auto showing you? What has your AI and HI been averaging?

How badly did you desat during your sleep evaluation? Do you have an existing lung problem such as COPD or asthma or some allergies?

Do you know WHERE your Mirage is leaking? Around the eyes? Around the chin? Around the cheeks? Are you tightening it too tight? Have you tried just adjusting your Mirage loosely while sitting up, then laying down, turning your autoPAP on and pulling the mask just a skosh away from your face to let the cushion fill w/air, then just lay the mask on your face, and carefully tighten the head gear "just" enough to be comfortable, THEN running your fingertip lightly along the seam between cushion and facial skin to turn the cushion edges under and seal any leaks?

Keep in mind that gravity changes our facial contours as we change positions from sitting upright, to laying on our back, to laying on our side.
