Cindy, I see them locally from time to time on Craigslist. If you found one on there in your area you would have the benefit of seeing before buying.

I bet if you took that Auto loaner machine back to the DME slapped it up on the counter and told them you are going to an ENT to consider the surgery route option (get your cpap script first from doctor, and copy of PSG), the Bipap would magically appear and insurance had a complete reversal over what they told you over the phone, unless it is like Kaiser.

You can't believe anything your DME says and you cannot believe anything your insurance company says over the phone without getting it in writing.

I bet if you called that insurance rep up and give them a fax number to fax over their "denial" of the claim, you would never see it.

Your problem is "interpreting" the stipulations of your policy, it was written by an ambulance chaser. The person on the phone is instructed to tell you it is not covered, they only want to pay for the machine that costs half as much not the one you need.
