How long is the pillow part of a swift II suppose to last?
My DME told me I could get new ones every month, however now that I am still in insurance transition I have not been able to get another medium pillow sleeve.
It seems like it is wearing out because I am getting more leaks and have to get it adjusted just right to be sealed properly, unlike when it was new.
However I don't really see what would wear out?

I have been using original Swift and never saw any wear evidence on it, switched to Swift 11, and don't see any wear on it. The problems I would encounter were adjusting the straps to tightly which would cause the end of the pillow blocks to start to separate allowing a leakage, the straps I am mentioning are the straps that cross your cheeks, another problem area is the hose arrangement, and head pillow you lie your head on once you get those areas squared away, dreamland is on its way. I also use Johnson baby shampoo daily to wash the pillow and hose section of the mask daily. Check those mentioned adjustments hopefully they will help you.

I'm using the Swift II since march this year, and you can hardly see that it is used at all. I clean it daily though.
The only problem I have with the Swift II that it will get off my head while sleeping. I move too much in bed. Still haven't found a solution for that. Maybe if the headgear had a strap for under my chin so that it still would be on my head the next morning will help.
Does anybody have another idea for that ?

Hi icansleep
Add Velcro to the back strap
not the soft fuzzy side but the other
It holds well and never comes off my head

Icansleep,
I have tried Velcro, this is Steve's technique to improve the old Swift and I believe it will help with the II too.
However in my case I still need to add chinstrap to avoid the blowfish effect
Then it is still not eough... I add the travel pillow 9see the thread on my experience with travel pillow
Then last week I have a another major breakthrough in my experiment: sleep in a small futon sofa. Do not open the sofa into a bed, just leave it as sofa. Since I cannot move around too much, my leaks are now very much in control
Now I can achieve leaks in 35-36 H2)/min while my usual one was >50.
So I have reached my target of leak control
