Smart Card Reader- Need Help

Post by Sergey45 » Wed Aug 15, 2007 5:44 pm

OK. I am trying to load to my PC my first ever results from Smart Card recorded last night.

I am clicking Download Data (under Interactions) and then Smart Card Reader. After 15 seconds – Message Encore Pro: Can’t connect to the device.

Trying to click Smart Card Utilities (under Other Tasks) – same result - Message Encore Pro: Can’t connect to the device.

It is clear that Encore Pro doesn’t see the Smart Card Reader. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any input.

What version of windows are you using? What version of Encore Pro? Are you using the correct smartcard driver?

which CD did you install the card reader drivers from?

is the card reader plugged directly into your machine or is it plugged into a hub?

What card reader software did you install?
From the disk that came with the card reader from 2-factors?
If so, that's why it won't work.
You HAVE to install the card reader software that's on the Encore Pro CD.
It's in a folder on the CD called "Smart Card Readers" and called "Setup.exe".
Another thing is that you can't plug in the card reader before you install the Encore Pro or card reader software.

IF this is what happened, uninstall/delete/remove the existing driver and install the proper one.
