Even though I look at my data every morning, one of the things I try to keep in mind every day is not to care about one particular night, no matter how good or bad it was. Instead I try to look at each day as part of a trend. That puts it in the proper perspective and greatly reduces the "emotional rollercoaster effect." As a result, I don't fear the possibility of a bad night and it's easier to stay compliant.Anonymous wrote:Try to focus on one night at a time. Pretty soon a month or a year will have passed.
We've all had our peaks and valleys in our therapy.....you're no different. It's rather daunting to be in the first few days/weeks and think "I gotta do this for the rest of my life???" But, after a period of time, you won't be able to sleep without it.
For example, any tweaking I do--like to the c-flex setting--I make VERY gradually. I'll barely tweak it, then look at the changes after a week. It takes longer, but it gives me more confidence in what changes are actually making a difference.
