un wanted cpap equipment ... what to do with it?

Hi, I have my original CPAP machine with humidifier. Its not used and still has the new stink. I also have 2 masks I did not like and do not wear. They can be sterilized and used by someone else.
I tried to sell them on EBAY but they said Im not allowed to do that.
The insurance company paid for them long ago so I dont have to give them back.
I would hate to throw away perfectly good equipment, especialy the machine. Its an old model and quite large and combersome but its perfectly good and still new condition.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS STUFF? I need clean out my storage locker and have no place or use for these things. Can I donate them to someplace that would have a use? Maybe to the poor people who do not have insurance but have apnea and can get some use? But they would need a sleep study and a doctor and the machines are cheap compared to those expensis.....

OH BTW... A buddy of mine finds used cpap equipment at thrift stores all the time. Feel free to Goodwill it.

She buys it and resells it. I think alot of people do that. Which explains some of the posts on Craigslist and Ebay where folks don't seem to know much about the machines, and when pressed, claim it was a deceased relatives...

Having had a friend who spent 4 years trying to get social security disability and didn't get until the third time he tried to kill himself because he gave up and who had sleep apnea, I will encourage the idea of giving or donating machines to people who need them. Find a way to get in contact with people who truly need the machines but can't afford to get their own. Many churches work with people in need so you may want to work through a local church.

Since Awake in America doesn't take used masks, you might as well offload them free/cheap to people on the forums that could use them. I'm getting ready to send my old ResMed S6 Lightweight to them, but still have a few of my previous masks sitting in a drawer:

Respironics Simplicity nasal mask (*might* still have a chin strap somewhere too, this was my original setup back in 2000).

ResMed Mirage FF (small)

ResMed Ultra Mirage FF (medium)

original Hybrid mask w/original all black headgear (hanging on to this one just until I decide whether I'm going to stay with the Mirage Liberty or take it back to the DME and get an updated Hybrid)
