I bought one today on ebay. They had it listed for $45 + $4.60 shipping. I used the "Best Offer" option and offered $32 + ship ($36.60) since one sold yesterday for that much from them. They immediately accepted the offer.

I've seen the threads/posts in the past about ResMed and Respironics pulling the software, but hadn't paid real close attention since my old machine (S6 Lightweight) wasn't data capable anyway. But now that I have a REMStar Pro M series, I've been paying closer attention -lol- It is ridiculous that consumers are blocked from being able to view information regarding their therapy and its effectiveness. I really have no problem with manufacturers locking down the ability to change pressure settings since that is the main prescription item, but intentionally keeping patients in the dark regarding their treatment by not allowing them to see the available data is just irresponsible and IMHO unethical. They should just raise the price of the xPAP setup by $50 and include the card reader and software. The increased quantity of sales (every xPAP sold would be a sale of the software) would more than make up for the lowered cost of each individual unit.
So I'm yet another trying to get Encore Pro now. I understand I can get a card reader easily enough, but that the software is hard to come by. What a mess...
