First night with ResMed Mirage Activa

Post by JerryR » Thu Apr 07, 2005 7:26 am

I think I'm in love - with my latest mask that is. I rec'd my new RemStar Auto (will be setting that up tonight hopefully) and a ResMed Mirage Activa mask yesterday from our good friends here at cpap.com. This is definitely the best mask I've tried so far. It does not require straps to be so tight they cut off circulation as do the two F&P's I've tried. I had NO leaks even when flopping from side to side like a beached Flounder. I actually made it to about 3am with the mask- about 5.5 hours for me. That's my record so far. While I did wake up a few times, for now I'll attribute it to the fact that I'm still trying to adjust to the whole cpap issue.
Many thanks to you RG for suggesting this mask to me early on. And, thanks to you too chrisp for being insistent that I learn to breathe through my nose and keep my mouth shut! With a little help from Sudafed and Flonase, I'm doing pretty well with it.

Like I said before in another thread, not only do we get from this forum, information, encouragement, advice, support but FUN too. How could I ask for anything more?

ACTIVA is my favorite too (if I have to have one at all).
