Rested Gal's Pantyhose
AH HA!!! Thanks Jerry for sending me this:

I think this is what I need - horizontal strap going around the back of my head at the nape of the neck.
Okay, I just re-rigged. Feels secure right now, but sleep will tell. If it doesn't work, I'm gonna try this "ace bandage" trick of Rosemary'a. I really don't wanna tape...
LOL,
Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.

Gosh, what a creative bunch!
Well, after using the "leg" for a night or two (back when this thread first came up) ....just long enough to see that a chin strap of some kind FINALLY would work for me, I soon switched to the"Original Deluxe" chinstrap by Respironics. Have been using that particular chin strap successfully for the past eight months.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... strap.html
Looks simple enough for someone to make. It's 3" wide.
I don't have to use the extra small strap that comes with it. Nor do I have to undo the chinstrap to put it on and off. I leave the velcro fastened and just push the thing on and off from in front, before I put on my mask.
A wide ACE bandage like Bamalady uses, would do about the same. The "Original Deluxe" stays wide; doesn't roll together on itself. It has a leeetle bit of give but doesn't stretch anywhere near as much as an ACE bandage or a "tights" leg does.
I use the good old "legs" for mask straps, but you all are wayyyy ahead of me in making a chin strap out of them.
Whatever works.... !!!

Hey Babs,
I still use the pantyhose tights leg on the "Stock" headgear on that NAII....I tie one end right next to the first velcro above the ear and the other end on the opposite side.....just hangs under my chin -- but I only use it to stabilize the headgear, so......But I also still have the hose connection at my chest not at the back of my head -- I'm still working on that one as I like that about the headrest!!
Gee. I'll have to try some of the fishnet style.....mine are just basic black....
cheers

Hmmm. I suppose I could do that.....
Gee. I wonder where I can get some tie dye??
Actually along those lines Karen (Padacheek Karen) and I had a conversation about that earlier.....she mentioned "Marbling" and now that I've looked at it, I ordered a "starters kit" for Marbling on Silk, so we'll see what I can come up with.....
cheers

I'm an every now and then mouth breather. I never know when it is going to happen. So, I now use a tights leg. I position the middle of it under my chin and tie the ends on top of my head. Then I spread out the part at my chin to cup the chin. I am not at all sure that this would cut it for a dedicated mouth breather, but it seem to put enough tension on my jaw to hold my mouth closed.

I'll await the results with baited breath (you could say I'm breathing in little pants...)
