I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

How much did you pay for that mask? How much is a brand new one would be from reliable on-line vendor?

Could have been worse, you could have ended up with a sheet of plastic wrap and a rubber band. Too bad though, people . Jim

Hi atruvirgo-

If you didn't, please file an 'Item Not As Described' complaint against the seller. He/she really doesn't need to get away with something like that, and you may be able to get your money back.

Babs! I didn't do it I swear!

I had a run in with a jerk on eBay when I purchased a water fountain for my cats. He charged twice the actual shipping charges and advertised it as new. It came without the original packaging, no instruction booklet or warranty papers. It had mineral deposits and water stains on it. New my ass. I saw he was vicious with his feedback when people complained so I left neutral feedback. He gave me neutral back but called me a liar. He is still going strong. Nothing you can do about people like that. Be careful giving negative feedback, you'll pay dearly for it.

I have been selling on ebay for years and have over 1500 feedbacks posted. The funny thing is that my level is still only about 99.2 percent good because of negative feedbacks that were given to me. The really unfunny thing is that they were all retaliation feedback given to me when I gave feedback to someone that sent crap or someone that didn't pay me. They hold you hostage knowing that even though you did everything right as a seller or a buyer if you deal with the wrong person they can definitely affect your feedback. There should be some way that ebay could control the retaliation feedback.

It was cheap so no worries about the money but what a crappy thing to do! Advertise new and send it with pet hair etc. I think that doing trades here is much safer!!! I prefer fellow CPAPr's to Ebay anyway!
By the way Babette, son called from Kuwait today. He just arrived yesterday and will be in Iraq by Sunday Husband is re-couping and I am just vegging!
Oh yeah and moonman1 on Ebay sucks!

What a bum deal! I've been burned a couple of times on Ebay myself. It stinks that they do not monitor their problem sellers, as most sellers on Ebay are honest and ethical.

I did go through the appeal process with PayPal on one, and in my explanation of the item being not as described, I linked to various feedback posts about this seller as substantiation that I am not the only one having problems with the seller. Today I got a mail from PayPal that I should ship the item back and am eligible for refund. What stinks is that the first exchange was botched by the seller, so I've already paid twice for postage. IMHO the buyer shouldn't have to bear the burden of postage for multiple shipments due to a dishonest, inept seller. But as I said, most Ebay sellers are very good to deal with. Just that if one is gonna play in the auction sites, one will eventually run across one or two of the bad ones. I was threatened with retaliatory negative feedback if I complained, so I immediately escalated it to a PayPal claim. Doubtful this type of seller will get any lessons out of it tho.

I too have not left negative feedback on a bad deal, because I'm protecting a 100% positive feedback rating.

I leave it "positive" then say circumspect things. "Item not new." "Shipped two weeks after receiving PayPal payment." That sort of thing.

I just had an idea... You can put up an "About Me" page and say anything you want. Why not list a Hall of Shame of bad deals, describing them in detail?

Then, if your feedback rating IS impacted, at least other buyers/sellers could find out WHY.

I research feedback, and looked at this seller. He/She has only had 27 deals in 9 years. Sounds like just a moron Ebay user, rather than an aggressive rip off artist. But, given the proclivity of people ghosting under a variety of id's, it could very well be a real a*hole. I'd steer clear.

Sometimes sellers just are stupid. I had a seller sell me something he thought was a child's toy for $25 and it was really a quite valuable 19thC antique worth upwards of $300. I felt bad, and clued him in AFTER I'd received it. He was sort of annoyed by the bad deal he'd gotten, but was appreciative that I bothered to clue him in.

BTW, there's an idiot seller right now selling Petite Nasal Aire's as NAII's. These are NOT the same animal, and are a poor design. Ask Debbie. I wrote him and he basically told me "so what?" He's: gatestmart.

Be careful on these NAII auctions. I've seen a couple of similar rip offs - the Petite or Freestyle NA sold as an NAII - you really don't want ANYTHING but the NAII. Previous models really suck.

And don't go spending $75 for one on Ebay when you can buy a new one for only $89 from cpap.com. Half price is good. Paying 3/4 of the price, and not being CERTAIN you're getting new product isn't a good deal. NAII's are hot on Ebay right now, be smart.

Cheers,
B.

I bought 2 NAIIs on ebay yesterday. I don't think they are the crappy ones, but now you have me worried. I'm giving links to the. Babette, would you mind looking and giving me your thoughts? They looked like the real deal to me.

The ones the gatesmart guy is selling look weird. The picture doesn't show any packaging and the hose around the face is not smooth. Seems that would be hard on the face.
