Open Offer To Read Remstar Card

Post by Mikesus » Tue Apr 05, 2005 5:06 pm

If you have a Remstar Pro2 or a Remstar Auto (I think there is even a BILEVEL that could be read, maybe some one can chime in with the model)

I have extra smart cards that I could swap so you would not be with out a card, and I am willing to read your card and email you your report. All I would ask is that you send my extra card back once we are done.

PM me if you are interested.

What a very kind offer, Mike. You might want to add that you can do that without erasing their card if their doctor or DME periodically wants to check it. (Not that many do.)

Very, very nice of you to offer to do that.

Can you dup the prescription on the card?

My DME has my pressures set on my APAP

That's a really kind offer Mikesus, thank you.

If there are any UK based people with the Remstar machines, I'm happy to offer the same service to you. PM me if interested.

Just curious if these Smart Cards are the same as those used in laptop computers or other devices. Could a person perhaps purchase extra ones where such cards are sold. They are really pretty cheap right now, especially the older bigger ones. A Smart Card for my digital camera used to be like $50 for just 8 MB and now you can get a 2 GB for that.

Janelle,

These cards are not the same as a "smart card" used in a device like a digital camera. They look just like a credit card and have a chip embeded on the surface. You can get them from cpap.com for about $10 a piece.

Yes. But if your compliance is being checked you might not want to do this, as your compliance would be over 2 cards...

I would be happy to provide a similar service to any Australian based or visiting Remstar owners. However I do not have spare cards and would suggest that if you wish to take up this offer you initially purchase spare cards from CPAP.Com to ensure your uninterrupted monitoring of your treatment. PM me if you are interested.

battlin_blazes,

What kind of JD is that in your avatar? Don't let my husband see that, he loves JDs. He has 3 JD 70's.

Just curious...
