Truly. On a more serious note, I've tried various things so I didn't roll on my back, and this is the first one that works. I was having wide variations in my nightly AHI. On the bad nights, I would see a whole string of apneas. Exactly like it looked during my sleep study when on my back, but less intense. I thought for sure that was when I was on my back at home. From the data so far, it looks like the side sleeping will make a big difference in those variations.

[quote="kteague"]What a visual! A sense of humor in all this really helps, doesn't it!

P.S. I understand about not wanting to have to leave the house in an emergency in your "getup". I had to leave quickly in the middle of a bitter winter night due to a fire. Since I was nearing menopause, I dressed like it was summer year round. Shivering and jumping up and down because the ice was painful on my bare feet, I retained enough vanity to dodge the news camera crews. I would have just been embarrassed, because I kept no "secrets" that night. You - well, folks would be rather perplexed at your choice of role play gear. Thanks for the chuckle.

I have to say, I got sucked in to the topic by the subject title. Whatever works I guess we have to do it. Best of luck.

I'm new to the board and missed this thread, but wanted to add my alternative to a backpack....

I put a small empty water bottle in a sock and safety-pin it to the back of my t-shirt. I adjust where I put the pin in the sock and t-shirt so when I'm on my side, I don't feel it.

The kids laugh when they see the sock stuck to my back - like the monster in Monsters Inc.

Sorry, but I've already been contacted by VS about the photos. It's looking like I'll be featured in their new Fall CAPwear line ads. I'm keeping the photos "under wraps" for now pending contract completion. VS discovered that cpap use restores sexual health by reading this forum and decided to reach out to a new demographic. . .

That's a great one, still laughing, thank you all needed a good laugh today.

The straps were chafing in front, so I put on a satin Victoria's Secret short gown that has cap sleeves. This way the straps kind of glide around and are less binding. This is relatively cool for summer. (Sorry guys, if you want to try this, you'll have to figure out a different kind of shirt. Do they make satin t-shirts?).
I think the men on this forum should post pictures of themselves in their Satin shirts.

Sounds like the backpack is a good idea. I have a soft back so might try it.
I tried sewing a piece of one of those long foam pool floaties things in the back of a shirt. It worked pretty well but I like the backpack idea better.

Curiosity may have killed the cat (and it can certainly get us men in trouble), so I held my breath, opened this post, and and and

Thanks for the post. I'm going to describe this new Victoria's Secret wear to my wife.

And please, keep an emergency costume by the door--just in case you do ever have to run outside.

Although it might be even funnier to see you explaining that get up on the 6 pm news.

Whoa! I'd be afraid to see a link in the "Streaming CPAP and Sleep Apnea News" at the top of this forum. Then I'd have to post a as part of my signature! .

Just a note that this also works when I travel. I found another bag that packs flat. It has a drawstring top and the heavy cord for the drawstring also can be used to carry it on one's back. It's the kind that science museums and places like that carry in their gift stores. Mine has (and I'm not making this up) "Hands-On Museum" as part of the logo.

I took it when I traveled recently and just stuffed one of the bed pillows into it.
