It seems that tests/studies should be conducted in this regard. It could be possible or very likely that we are getting xPAP induced centrals causing us to get up. One should look at their software to see a pattern.

Before I started my Cpap treatment. I would wake up atleast every 15min. And if I wasn't waking up "She Who must be Obeyed" was kicking me to wake me up because I wasn't breathing then I would be gasping for air.
Since I have been on Cpap..I very seldomly wake up in the night. I usually go to bed around midnight. I will wake up between 0530 hrs. and as late as 0845 hrs.

I used to go to work at 0400 hrs. and I would get up at around 0245 hrs. i would leave the house between 0325 hrs. and 0345 hrs.

Depending on what time the punk that lives behind us leaves his place and his rice rocket and Ghetto blaster starts up.

Maybe I'm getting old and grouchy, maybe I should change my screen name to Grouchy ole' Fart.

I slept better with my M-Series Bipap Auto, last night than I did in a long time.

"She who must be Obeyed" Said the machine had different sounds than my other machine it wasn't steady link the straight Cpap machines.

With my ComfortLite 2 I woke up often due to mask leak and was still getting up to use the bathroom almost every night (only once per night). With the Hybrid I usually sleep all the way through and even if I wake up, it's brief and I just go right back to sleep, the machine doesn't even count it as having woken up.

I still wake up several times a night but nothing like before cpap. I can usually go right back to sleep. If its after about 6-7 hours of sleep I've found a lot of the time there is no going back to sleep and just end up getting up. I believe its because my body actually has enough sleep now. Before cpap I could easily sleep over 12 hours if I had the time to do so.

The first month I slept 1-1/2 hours twice a day. I spent lots more time in bed tossing and turning, cursing and sighing, trying to make a mask work that didn't fit right.

This month it's been two sessions of 3 hours each back to back. No cursing or sighing, just rolling over or a simple mask adjustment in between. Then I pull my mask off and sleep without it for awhile. Wish I would stop that.

If this trend continues, I'll be sleeping my life away in no time!
WooHoo!!!

I go to bed about 10, wake to change position about 3 or 4am, then usually once more before getting up about 5am to start my day.
