Birdshell is correct that any AHI under 5 is good. Under 5 is considered normal. I like mine to be under 1.0 over 2.0 and I feel the difference in the morning. I'm usually under 0.5 and feel great every morning. For some of us it makes a very big difference. If you wake up feeling great, don't worry so much about the numbers.

I am a very restless sleeper, even with cpap, flipping from stomach, to side to side and sometimes on my back. When I come fully awake at night, I am usually on my back.

Last night I was particularly restless and could not get to sleep at all. I remembered years ago, after my divorce, I used to sleep with an extra pillow tucked up to the side I was facing, cuddling it with my free arm. So last night I did just that, fell asleep quickly and woke up four hours later (for a potty run) in exactly the same position in which I fell asleep. That is nothing short of a miracle for me!

Of course, I would prefer to have a good man to cuddle, but they seem to be in short supply

Here is a link to a pregnancy body pillow on amazon that has alternative pillows listed farther down, many of which look like they could help with your problem.

When I'm preg it is hard for me to stay on my side, so this pillow has been on my wish list for a while. When I next find myself in this position (preg--hopefully soon after my upcoming tonsilectomy) I have been considering this pillow or one of the others like it.

During my last preg I slept with a pillow at my back, a long body pillow. That really helped keep me on my side and I could sometimes sort of lie half on it for a nice change in position that wasn't exactly back sleeping and therefore safer for the baby. (Lying fully on your back in late pregnancy can cut off blood supply to the baby--it puts pressure on a major blood vessel--I would actually get lightheaded if I sat in a recliner fully reclined! But I had a ten lb. baby!)
