Resmed claims it is 86% quieter.

It really needed to be. Is it quiet enough?

Jerry

From the posts I've read, it is much quieter. Is it quiet enough? Only you can determine what is quiet enough for you.

I've been using the Swift II for almost a month. I personally find it quieter than the original. Is it a lot quieter, I don't think so, but is noticeable quieter to me. Some on this forum have said that it is noisier to them and I certainly can believe that. So, like all masks, the fit, leaks, comfort, and noise are different for everyone, only you will know what is best for you.

She who Must be Obeyed says it's a little louder than the old mask I had. But it doesn't make the odd sounds the other mask did.

Have both original Swift, and now the Swift 11. I find it much quieter, but then again I'm an eight hundred pound gorilla, what do I know. ( Had to see the commercial on tv)

I think it is much quieter, but it is probably all in the eye of the beholder.

I wasn’t able to adjust to Swift. Two reasons: nostril irritation and noise. See my complete mask’s report here.
http://www.sleepapneasymptom.medgrip.com/cpap_mask.html
Now after some experience with different nasal pillow system I understand that nasal irritation is temporary and could be cured with some cream. Noise – that’s what I was not able to tolerate at all. Is it really 86% noise reduction in Swift ||? If it is so the mask should be very quiet.
