Help for settings the 420E

Post by javaide » Wed Jun 13, 2007 3:04 am

I am desirous of setting the different concomitants on 420 with the following details:

Mode APAP
Minimum Pressure 9
Maximum Pressure 15.
Rampt Time 0
Starting Ramp Pressure 0

However I do not know the next steps whether I should fix the FL at 1 or zero. Similarly I do not know what parameters should be fixed in the next screen relating to:

"the offset of the pressure sensor integratedinto the goodKingiht 420 volution device".

Need help to enable me to run the above machine. Thanks.

Leave the FL at 1 unless you're getting runaway pressures.

Not sure about the other but I'd recommend not changing it unless you know what it is!

It's easier to set through the software than on the machine itself, do you have that?

Hi javaide,

I just went through the same thing, so I am by no means experienced with the 420E, just initial setup.

I left the flow at FL-1, as tillymarigold suggested. If I have problems with it, I will change it to FL-0.

As for the offset of the pressure sensor, I also asked about it in another thread, as was advised to leave it at the factory default (which I believe was 127). I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I do know that specialized equipment is required to calibrate the correct setting, and since I don't have that equipment, I'm not going to worry about it.

Good luck with the machine!

Bonnie
