Any good clinics in the Chicago or South Bend area/50% oxyg.

Hi,
I have had a rough year as far as sleep studies/sleep apnea. In a couple of weeks, I am going to my family doctor again in hopes he can refer me out to another center for my severe sleep apnea (my event index is 72 per hour). Does anyone know of a good doctor/clinic in the South Bend, IN area or in or near Chicago?

My doctor had already referred me to a local sleep center. They messed up royally, not putting me on my cpap (it was my 3rd PSG study). My oxygen level was between 50%-60% for 7% of that study. I've looked everywhere to find out the effects of being hypoxic for that amount of time. Anybody have a resource? Obviously, I don't want to go back to this clinic, and am just trying now to find the best care I can. Thanks for any help you can give...

I had my sleep study done in Chicago, at the neurology department of Norhtwestern Memorial Hospital. Dr Zee (yes, how appropriate...) lead the sleep disorder research group and is apparently a renowned leader in this area (she was highly recommended by my PCP). I could not get an appointment with her, so I saw Dr. Sethi instead. I was not too crazy about him, and I would recommend you try to see Dr. Zee if you decide to try this sleep center.
To reach them, see the links below...

Good luck

Thanks so much. I'll print out the info for my PCP.
