Jsut wondering if anyone used any of these stills. No I wouldn't JUST use it for the CPAP. If it's small enough, I could stash something like this in my suitcase, but that doesn't look like it's the case here. I DID find a good source for distilled water near my hotel in Chicago, but will probably pack a lexan bottle of distilled water in the suitcase IN a SEALED ziploc, or maybe a vac sealed (I love my vacuum sealer) bag. I figure between the lexan and the vac bag, there would be no chance my clothes end up drenched by the time the airline drops off the suitcase.
One other thing that's semi related to this....has TSA ever questioned that residual water in your tank....you know how it is....the water you JUST can't get out of the tank!
Anyway, I am hearing they are putting a liquid scanner in at some airports and hopefully this will cause the liquid ban to be relaxed even more. Then there's no worries....just cart a couple small bottles with you on a trip.
And thanks for the welcome folks!
From a fellow hosehead.
Hey All.....Have you ever distilled your own water for CPAP?
When I went through security yesterday (in Canada), they were taking water bottles away. I forgot and had a juice box in my purse and it didn't show up on the scan. They did not even take out the cpap and just waved me through with the insulin pump. But the jewelry stock I was carrying (I went to sell at a show) got inspected very carefully...
My humidifier opens all the way, so it was dry (and had more jewelry packed in it!)
