Last Night's ReTitration and Adams Circuit

Post by kteague » Fri May 25, 2007 9:42 am

Well, it's DONE! Another miserable night. Everywhere else I can sleep in a snap, except the sleep lab.

I had wanted to take the opportunity to try a different mask than the ones I already know (Swift, Breeze, CL2), and the only one without straps around the face was the Adams Circuit. Bad choice. I spent the night dodging the vent. I am normally a side sleeper with my hands under my face. This made the vent blow on my arm, and if I covered my arm, it made noise hitting the sheet. And it kept shifting out of place. Between the mask and the limb movements, it was looking shaky on if I was going to sleep enough to complete the test. Arrgghh!

Anyhow, finally got some sleep. The tech really wanted a sampling of me supine in REM. My second time up after 4:00 it hadn't happened. Around 6:00 just before I woke up, she said I rolled on my back and hit REM. BINGO! I'm more interested in what the limb movments showed.

While there they checked out my ResMed Auto Spirit (since it had the near drowning recently) and it is giving accurate pressure. While the final results are pending, I was tentatively titrated at 12. Hmmm - my auto hovers around 11.5 most of the time. How's that for getting the job done!

Kathy

Sheesh Kathy! That sounds like the stunts I pull On my initial sleep study I laid there all night wide awake. The Tech claimed I did sleep for 45 min, but I doubt that. On my next titration night I took some tylenol PM before I arrived for the night. That let me get some sleep. Hope you get the help you need anyway. jim

I bet you'd like the Twilight NP.
