Please Pardon The Construction As We Add A Header

Post by forumadmin » Wed Mar 23, 2005 2:22 pm

Howdy,

I recently proposed a main page layout for cpaptalk to the community. Your feedback solidified my belief that the most successful community will be the one that brings users right into the chat. For this reason we will point links into cpaptalk.com to:

http://cpaptalk.com/viewforum.php?f=1

instead of to:

cpaptalk.com

By doing this, new users will get right into the action.

We're also going to add navigation icons right inside the header instead of on a seperate page. Lastly, expect a font scaling option soon that remember the preferences of registered users.

Thanks for all the feedback. I welcome more as I tweak the website in the days ahead.

Johnny,

Any chance you'll be adding a spell check feature like the one that has been added at TAS?

I like the new header!

Howdy Wader,

Spell check is a pretty easy plugin to install. Should it check by default or only when you click?

By default would be great, unless it automaticaly makes the corrections, then I would say set it up to check on command.

Great idea making it bring the users straight into the message board. The simpler the better. You are really making this message board better and better, Johnny.

Please, please, don't make a spell checker be the default! lol ! A spell checker would be fine, but let the ones that want to use it turn it on.

I agree with rested gal.
Besides, Liam often butchers the language just for comedic affect.
If he mispells, it's likely on purpose. An automatic version might muck it up for him. Ha! ..... But it will be nice to have the spell check as an option, for us grammatically-challenged. Thanks for considering doing it. You keep making the forum better and better!!
