Well, phpbb could definitely tell who I really was when making that post, so its not a generic BigPond ISP issue.

I'm not sure its phpbb that does the tracing. When this facility was 1st set up, it had a lot of false positives - there used to be lists of people under guest ids

It is clear the facility got tuned quite a bit. But as far as my access, it has always been correct.
