Question: Analysis Software for 420E

Post by jomo » Tue Mar 22, 2005 9:26 am

Last night, I tried recording a session directly to my laptop's hard drive. I realized this morning that the Silverlining 3.X does not seem to have the capability to go back and read these files. The file types are: *.fl, *.pr and *.lk. Does anyone know how to read these files, or what software (if any) is available to the general public to read them?

Short of this, I guess I will have to video-record the display of my laptop to be able to access the real-time charting capabilities of the 420E and Silverlining software. . .

Thanks,
-John

Hi John:
No, I traipse the 420/E to my computer every morning (almost every morning) and run it from there, and then put it back in the bedroom. A little problem, but not all that bad.
I can usually access the info easily, is easy to decipher, and save the latest copy to "My Documents" and print out a hard copy for myself ea. day. I like the idea that I can see leaks, also varying pressures, and am able to actually figure out what time/hour I was up/down/whatever................
I figure when I finally get summoned to the sleep dr. I can show him. It's certainly better than a 3-4$thousand dollar sleep follow up study. No thanks on that deal!

Most nights I can monitor my pressure and I've been happy to note that I'm getting thru quite nicely at the lower pressure on apap. My AHI's have been in the 1-2 range, so I think I'm doing much better.

I wish I could get back some of the energy initially I felt, but that's gone. I don't know why, but it's GONE.

well, it has helped me in other ways, so I have to be thankful for what it does do for me.

Good luck...
there are a few posters on here quite knowledgeable about the silverlining software.....hope they can help you more specifically than I can.
