how do i know
i think i have a sleeping disorder but i am really not sure could some one tell me the sighns of a sleeping disorder?
foxy, only a genuine sleep doctor (in conjunction with a sleep lab) will be able to diagnose sleep disorders.
With that said, some things to look for: snoring........LOUD snoring...that is interrupted by periods of total silence (when you quit breathing); fatigue (all day long, bone-tired, falling asleep at work, driving, in church, anywhere you sit for more than 5 minutes and waking up feeling as tired or more tired as when you went to sleep); grouchiness (I personally was on edge and ready for an argument at the drop of a hat for almost a year before diagnosis).
But, like I said above, only a doctor can make the diagnosis. If you think you have it, take the time to get tested. If you do, then get an XPAP and use it! This therapy WORKS!! I've been on a APAP for a month now and feel wonderful.........finally after 4 years of fatigue, grouchiness and snoring my brains out.

foxy, the symptoms are only part of it. If you even suspect you have a sleep disorder, get it checked out. The risk of non-treatment is enormous, both to your health, but also to others, especially if you drive.
What makes you suspect you have a disorder?
In my case, it was a range of symptoms. Apart from falling asleep during the day, I couldn't concentrate, suffered from poor short term memory, got very irritable & had no energy. I felt very depressed. I kept my wife awake with my snoring and snorting, and she noticed I was not breathing some of the time. If you have any of these symptoms, please get help.
