Blarg, just a quick note:

I find the lanolin does have a slightly sticky quality; it also melts with the warmth of the skin just a bit. I like to use it with my CL 2 because it does seal the microleaks, as I call them. With two differently sized nares, that is an issue for me.

Also, you may want to apply the mouth tape first, as I've found that putting the tape on last means I catch a bit of the lanolin and then that part of the tape will not stick.

Now, this is a bit too late, maybe--as you've tried the lanolin last night. However, this part isn't: I seem to have a runny nose for several hours upon being upright, and only when using the lanolin.

This is still a very acceptable trade-off to get some sleep for me. I hope the lanolin did the trick.

Karen

For me, the trick with Lanonin is to use VERY little. If I get too much, more than the thinnest film, then I get leaks becasue the pillows move around too much. But, with just the thinnest layer, it helps seal the pillows nicely and leaks are a thing of the past.

Here's a picture of what the box looks like of the lanolin that is found in the baby section:

It's called Lansinoh - Lanolin for Breastfeeding Mothers. I've found it at CVS and Walgreen's.

Here's a link to the product at Drugstore.com.

It's about $10 for 2 ounce tube (but a little goes a LONG way).
