Swift I and II

Post by twillson » Wed Apr 18, 2007 9:21 am

I am sure I missed a thread on this, but is the only change from Swift I to Swift II the exhaust ports? I need to replace the swivel hose on my Swift, but my doctor seems to prefer prescribing whole interfaces rather than parts, and I want to me sure there is no potential downside to buying a Swift II rather than updtating my Swift I.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

I thought that I read somewhere that the parts are NOT interchangable (big surprise) between the Swift and theh Swift II.

the rest changed - now Resmed says it is much quieter
Resmed is going to release sets of SWIFT II upgrades for those who already have the SWIFT headgear

I received this in a newsletter from Resmed. I don't use this, but thought someone here might get some useful information from it or the link.

April 18, 2007

We would like to advise all our clients and friends of the forth coming release of the Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System by Resmed. The Swift II is the first major overhaul of Resmed's leading CPAP mask. The Mirage Swift II is scheduled for release in mid May however, we are currently taking orders that will be shipped as soon as the product becomes available. The Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow System will be priced at $159.00, the same price as the original system. In conjunction with this new product release the original Mirage Swift Nasal Pillow System has been reduced in price from $159.00 to $135.00.

To find out more about this new pillow system you may visit our product introduction page at http://www.sleeprestfully.com/Product_Release.asp

Interesting and I have to laugh... Ha! Competitive pricing?? Really?? The Opti and Opus are now under $100! $159 is not competitive!
