Ooops
The staff who loaned me the machine emphasised a hundred times not to move it when the humidifier was attached so water doesn't run back into the works.
I was fast asleep this morning when my two alarm clocks went off in the dark. I forgot I was attached to things, and kind of panicked. Next I knew I was sitting on the floor with the resmed beside me (not on the low stand where it lives). I fumbled round with it trying to turn off the alarm clock!
I don't quite know what I did, how can I tell if I have damaged anything, or do I have to wait for the clinic staff to tell me? I'd rather know first so I can fess up.
The display still comes up.
Thanks in advance.

if you got a shopvac, remove the humidifier tank and put the suction hose up against the outlet port on the Spirit and hold the unit with the outlet air port pointing down if you can, rotate the unit around so the shopvac sucks all the water out. Then turn On the unit holding the air outlet down so if there was anything it blows it out.
If it didn't sit there where the water was allowed to run it, probably not much got inside the machine. The tank has that silicone diffuser inside the tank to reduce chance of that happening.
Next write down the serial number, (you don't want that machine back), any water that gets in them rusts the motor bearings, if it leaked inside and got on the circuit boards getting them wet, water will corrode those soldered contacts and surface mount components over time (as water and electricity don't mix).
The Spirit should run all the time at a very low speed, that is so it blows the humidifier vapor out of the tank so it doesn't flow back into the machine and cause a problem.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...
Thank you Restedgal and Snoredog.
What a way to wake up that was!
I switched it right off at the back when I went to work,(thinking it's like a computer keyboard and spilt coffee, let it dry out before putting electricity through it) and then came back and straight away read your posts. I vacuumed it out and it's now gently exhaling chin down feet up on my down pillow. It looks very comfortable.
Now - should I confess when I go in tomorrow? I bet everyone does that in the first weeks don't they?
What's the moral position here?

In the end I did 'fess up to the 'tec, she was fine about it, checked the inside of the m/c and said it looked ok, and thanked me for being honest. Not really a decision as I am a hopeless liar and hate feeling guilty.
Now I have an older and less fancy m/c till I get the doc's Rx in May, so that's a relief in case I end up wrestling it in my sleep again.
My pressure is 12 apparently, and the Swift is a good fit. I am trialling the Opus now as I want to try as many as possible during my six week trial period. I tried the flexifit ff mask on, and quite liked it - i think it feels familiar because I have snorkelled a fair bit. The 'tec said I don't need a ff though. I kind of want one, I'm not sure why, something to do with feeling ultra secure "in case something happens".
Thanks for all the help and support everyone.
