Earplugs with PAP due to noisy mask/machine

Anyone use earplugs each night? What kind do you recommend
so I can get some quiet sleep and not listen to my ResMed FF

Hmmmm. I have the same problem with my wife.

Liam, who's pretty sure she doesn't read this any more, or he's in deep poop.

Although I don't have much trouble with my wife in such a way, I do use earplugs just about every night because of the gear. I use the ordinary green foam ones that I get in a bag (of about 20 of them or so) at the drug store. They are indispensable for me.

Now if your mask could fart Dixie, that'd be something.

I do not understand all the noise. If you have a tight seal there should not be all that noise. When I have my ff mask on and everything is set correctly there is no noise at all in the room. If it starts making noise my husband hears it and I reseal it and we are both back to sleep.
I am no expert on the subject. This is just my personal experiance.

The noise is a very subjective thing. The lucky ones don't notice anything, others of us are very sensitive to it. It is by far my most serious "issue" with CPAP therapy.

Even without leaks, there is a great variation in the noise made by the exhaust ports of different masks. I call that "external" noise. There's also "internal" noise that comes from inside the machine, through the hose, into the mask, and into your sinus cavities. You often hear that more on inhale than exhale. Run your machine with the hose directly in the machine instead of through the humidifier and I suspect you'll hear it. Some people perceive it as a white noise whoosh; I hear it as a roar.

That's what I get for a lifetime of listening to too much fiddle music and not enough deafening rock and roll!
