Is it RERA? It feels devastating trying to find advice.

Post by ljlkjk » Wed Jul 15, 2026 8:46 pm

I can't fall asleep with CPAP at all. Right when I'm about to fall asleep, it feels like my heart starts beating fast, and all sleepiness disappears. The only setting that allowed me to even fall asleep was EPR 2.

You link to a three hour period mid-day.
What's wrong with it?
Do you have night data? What's the longest period you had your mask on at 6 with EPR=2?

The breathing on that segment looks fine.
If you want to sleep with CPAP, you have to train your mind that the mask (with machine tunred of of course) stays on. NO sleeping, no attempting to sleep without the mask. You need to take it off? Fine. take it off, and get out of bed, do something relaxing. You feel sleepy? Go back to bed and put the mask on.
Every time you take the mask off and continue sleeping without it, you're reinforcing your brain / mind /psyche's insistnece that you can't sleep with the mask.
If you want to use CPAP for your health, you have to train yourself to sleep with it.

Distract your mind from the mask and machine. Imagine you are doing a favorite, relaxing activity. For me, it was lying under an umbrella in a gentle breeze with a mild surf and with no one around. Don't think about CPAP.
