Hi Linda the picture of the outhouse on page two, is that a one seater or two?Linda3032 wrote:would help drown out the cabs honking all night outside...
I don't think there is a cab within 70 miles of us. In fact the only time we see a car, other than our own, is when we go to town. Mind you, town consists of 509 people. So not alot of cars there either. ...

UPS
If you decide to get an Unterruptable Power Supply (UPS), you would also benefit from having your machine work during a power outage - very nice. I own several, having them on my servers, desktops, TiVo, and air cleaners. I bought Belkin because the price was right. I have had to replace the batteries, but found a good price on the batteries from a company that has treated me well. PM me if you want to discuss where to buy the batteries, or about UPS' in general.
Ears/hearing/and auditory perception/processing are very complex. Do you have musical training or innate musical abilities. I'm just thinking you may be dealing with a tiny amount of condensation in your tubing and/or mask. Water + moving air can give a musical quality. And if your brain is tuned into singing-that musical sound may get translated to singing for you. For example-I have a permanent ringing in my right ear-for the times I can't ignore it-it helps to focus on it-after a few minutes of focus it begins to sound faintly of old hymns. When I tire of hymns I plug my iPod into my good ear.
Try flicking your mask near the exhaust when the sound starts-if the sound stops or changes you may have found the cause.

I'm also an EE and hear music all night. But it my case it's because I actually play radio music all night, an old habit. It helps me get to sleep. Can't stand silence.tangents wrote:Also an EE, I second Wolfmarsh's idea. Good luck, and let us know if it works!
Here's what I'm listening to now. Sure would like to learn that Bachata dance. It originated in the Dominican Republic and has spread worldwide.

I know this thread has gone silly on you, but we really do care and sympathize with your dilemma. Have you tried the suggestion of plugging your machine into a computer power strip? Have you made any progress getting rid of the music? You can PM me if you want.

Hey Papit...do you realize that you are in a thread from 2007 and the person you are asking to PM hasn't been back to the forum since 2012?

Good pick up line.."hey do you want to compare equipment?" That's one way to get a date.
