position data/sensor in OSCAR?

Post by PossibleHuman » Thu May 28, 2026 12:09 pm

I toss and turn a lot at night — and I also have position-sensitive apnea. I'm wondering if there is any device I could wear at night and include my sleep position in OSCAR to be able to do more debugging.

While it doesn't integrate with OSCAR, a wildlife camera can be effective. Some of them put the time in the video, but if not just put a digital clock beside the bed. You can fast forward through the video and note the times you change position to cross reference to OSCAR.

My idea won't help with positional apnea.
I have fond that masks with hose connection at the top of the head are less likely to leak than those with the hose connection in front of the nose.
An example is the Resmed P30 I, N30I or F30i or or the Respironics Dream Wisp.
Also Circadiance Sleepweaver makes an 18" featherweight hose that connects between the standard hose and the mask. I always use the featherweight hose if the mask does not come standard with an equivalent short hose.

This is a great idea! I'll try this.

Is this not the case already? It shows up for me at the bottom of the post.
