Air Leak

Post by Cronig » Sat Dec 06, 2025 10:10 am

I have been using c-paps for the last 12 years. I currently own a Resmed Airsense 11. I have had this for one for approximately 18 months. I recently started using new head gear and cushion, size medium as always. I had been using the same cushion and head gear for about a year, washing frequently. Never had a problem with getting the fit to be decent and with no air leaks. Since I have replaced the headgear and cushion my air leak scores dropped dramatically. I have the adjusted the straps several times to no avail. I wish I never replaced my older gear. I’m stumped. I’ve checked the water tub, loose connections, everything. Anyone familiar with this issue? It does this when the straps are tight or loose and even when comfortable. It also dries me out terribly. Help?

You said your air leak scores have dropped dramatically. I assume you are talking about the app scores. The app looks at ALL leaks. Large and small.
You may be having lots of small, insignificant leaks that really do not affect your AHI. Look at the explanation of the scoring system on your app. (On your monthly trend...tap on the (?) in the upper RH corner). Leaks below 24L are not considered a problem if they don't affect your sleep.

What is getting dry? Which model mask are you using?
