Contact Dermatitis from mask

Post by Lpeterson » Sun May 11, 2025 6:45 am

About 3 months ago my face where the mask sets started to become irritated and red. Explored different masks, ( all which have straps on my face).

Tried a "Bleep Mask" with no straps but could not tolerate it in my nostrils.

Saw my dermatologist and now I am using a prescription ointment, but not really improving much.

Anyone else experience this? Any ideas?
Thanks.

Is it the mask straps themselves causing the irritation or is the silicone causing the irritation where it touches the skin?

You might look at mask strap pads or mask liners.
