Navage for Neil Med Rinse - Which is better?

I started using Neil Med about 4 months ago at the advice of my ENT. It has helped a lot and then some on this forum talked about Navage. I have never heard about it. I suffer from nasal airflow restrictions and had a turbinate reduction procedure that helped somewhat but not entirely solve the issue. I read that Navage uses gentle suction to help clear irritants better from the nose and helps with breathing. Is it worth the investment in Navage vs sticking with Neil Med? Does anyone have a better experience with Navage or is it the same result with Neil Med but costs much more money? I appreciate the help!

I haven't used navage but have been using Neil med for about two months now. i'm satisfied with it and for myself, I wouldn't think of changing.

but let's see what others have to say.

If not, no one should ever purchase it.

I guess Navage is about $100. First, I would try a neti pot - 8 bucks including 50 saline packs. Small investment. If you are unsatisfied, Navage could be reconsidered. (A neti pot might require a little learning and technique practice. It should become an easy routine after a few days of use.)

BTW, have you gotten other advice from your ENT? Have you healed completely from the surgery?

Another BTW, a high CPAP humidifier setting causes nasal congestion in some people. A newbie mistake is thinking more humidity is better. I made this mistake.

Neti pot user here. Inexpensive to use and easy to clean/sanitize. I mix my own saline rinse... 1 Qt of distilled water (same as I use for my CPAP), 2 tsp of canning/pickling salt (not iodized like table salt), and 1 tsp baking soda. Store it in a quart sized plastic bottle and lasts a long time for the amount used. I use a coffee cup warmer to warm the rinse in a small glass jar before pouring it into the Neti pot which makes it more comfortable to use. As suggested give the Neti pot a try

A lot of good reviews on Amazon for the Navage (and some not so good). Two reasons I wouldn't get one are the cost and it would seem that daily cleaning and effectively sanitizing/disinfecting may be a bit of a chore more than I want.

I personally prefer using the NeilMed squeeze bottle for the slight additional directed pressure and simplicity, instead of relying on gravity alone and the practiced technique of a neti pot.
