[RESOLVED] AirSense 10 Humidifier Repair

Post by sfwood » Mon Oct 07, 2024 2:28 pm

[EDIT] Problem resolved somehow with fiddling. Heating normally now. Thanks for the ideas.[/EDIT]

I have an AirSense 10 which is no longer warming the water in the humidifier tank. I have confirmed that after hours of use the warming plate is cold. I think the heating hasn't worked since a morning I woke to find the machine had shut itself off and the power brick was unusually warm. Otherwise the machine works as it should.

The fuse doesn't seem to be blown as it passes a continuity test. Can anyone suggest 1) a source for a replacement humidifier warming plate (ebay and general web searches have not been fruitful) or 2) a reliable repair service? Thanks

Have you been using it without heat? If so, did you get dry nasal passages or any other unwanted side effects?

Consider buying a used machine of FB market place for parts.

You said you did a continuity test of the fuse. Did you measure the heater resistance?

Thanks. I didn't measure heater resistance, as I didn't see an explanation of how to or what it should be.. This would confirm the heater plate is bad and not the control board? I would have just put in a new hearer plate but they don't seem to be available to mortals.
