The only way to build up callous is to keep doing it so Im not “thin skinned”
Let's be clear here.....I do NOT have callouses on my skin at the nose/nostril area at all.
I actually have rather thin skin on my nose. Remember I am an old woman with wrinkly saggy skin...borders on what I call "paper skin".

I just yank them off but I suppose one could make removal easier if someone just washed their face with a nice moisturizing soap.

The adhesive is a 3M product used also for colostomy bag adhesion. Sensitivity issues only in about 5% of the users.
OMG old woman with wrinkly saggy skin. Sorry but tff

And by callous I dont mean hard brittle stuff. I just mean the tip gets stronger. Like a piano player builds callous on their fingers after playing. Not big construction worker callous but just tougher skin.

For now I guess its go slow and take a day or two off in between when necessary. I added a moisturizer too in the morning.

Next question:::: Is there a way to recycle/reuse the magnets?

thanks to all of you for your informative replies.

Is there a way to recycle/reuse the magnets?

Yes....at least in theory but it's not practical nor cost effective and not easy either.

I have reused the magnets but I was putting the used magnet on a Halo adhesive that was minus the magnets.
Long story as to why I ended up doing that because it was actually more work. The magnets have to be thoroughly cleaned with each use and that means washing and soaking in soap, water and alcohol.

Your biggest problem will be finding the right adhesive strip of something and cutting holes in it and fixing some way to stick the magnet to it and your skin at the same time.
To get the adhesive in bulk from 3 M would involve buying a massive roll of the stuff....expensive for sure.

I have half assed looked into it and even tried a few things but the adhesive was a big road block.
I finally found a tape that seemed to want to stay stuck and I cut out the shape and then used a hole punch to make the hole and half assed made a pair.....single pair...two....and I had spent over 10 bucks and a bunch of my time and it wasn't all that great of a result.
So...over 10 bucks just for one night's worth of Halos....too much work and too expensive for this old lady.

What we need is for someone to sell the adhesive with the holes in it (minus the magnet) and then both sides being sticky (where the magnet sits) and all we have to do is remove the used/old magnet and stick it on the new adhesive...

But yes.....it can be done but the sun, moon and stars have to line up to start with. It's not easy or cheap.

Now you got me thinking. Every time I put on a pair I cut off a corner of adhesive. I wonder, if I saved them up, if I could just attach the unused adhesive to the adhesive that is still on them and fasten them further out? :)

Just scheming.

Thanks for that.

Yes. I do that, and it helps.

Another Eclipse question please.

I think it said something on the instructions form about taking the plastic bulb apart and hand washing the diffuser etc. It sounds like a risky proposition unless it is easy to disaasemble and reassemble. And why not just soak in vinegar like I do my other masks?

How often do you do this if you do this?

Just wondering how you guys keep yours clean.

Thanks!

I don't.

On the very rare occasion I just wash/soak the entire mask. Now I have changed the diffuser filter material because it looked gross but that takes months and months before it is gross enough for me to put in new filter material in the bikini thong thing.

I absolutely hate the stink of vinegar....so I don't use vinegar except to make pickles.
