Last night I slept pretty well without any pills. I do have a few OAs which hasn't been normal lately. Not sure I should be concerned. I also can't seem to sleep past 5am for whatever reason.

light cycles are killing my sleep schedule. Sunrise is five something and i can’t get back to sleep.

the light cycles and not the clock are greater determinant of your daily rhythms.

In all seriousness: Your body may just be ready to get up. So don't fight it.
When I click on the SleepHQ link, I have this login screen pop-up:
Image
Note that it says I'm not authorized to view the link.

Logging in to my (old, free, and not very active SleepHQ account) robysue account over there. But even after I'm logged in, I can't get to the data that Iancdub88 is linking to

Anybody know what to do?

I know that UncleNick from SleepHQ recently posted here about some kind of changes to the share links. But if they actually have changed it so share links don't actually work unless the person looking at the link is a paid member at SleepHQ or some other shenanigan, then those SleepHQ links are now pretty much worthless for sharing data over here since a whole lot of us ain't going to pay Uncle Nick money just to try to help others.

The SleepHQ link now insists on a log in and says I'm not able to view the link. Anybody know what to do? It recognizes my robysue login, but loging in does NOT take me to Iancdub88's linked data.
Totally my fault. I posted the wrong link. Try this one:

Ok. This one works.

Your whole AHI = 0.9 and your OAI = 0.45. Not enough to worry about at all. You had a grand total of four OAs all night long. Moreover, they were not clustered together. And if you zoom in on each of them, at least two have signs of an arousal occurring just before the OA was scored. (And hence they may not be real---sometimes a post arousal "central" can be scored as an OA instead of a CA). And at least one of the OAs occurs during a time frame when you said you probably weren't asleep---i.e. after 5:00 AM when you couldn't get back to sleep.

Okay, good to know! I'm feeling pretty good this morning and I hope that means I'm getting there. My mask is still kind of annoying with leaks so I think I'm going to try a different one come pay day.

Should I keep the min where it is for now?

Someone just sent me a big box of donated stuff and I don't want to store it.
What mask were you thinking of trying? It might be in that box. I just haven't had time to sort through it all.
It will be free to you but I would appreciate postage reimbursement if you can do that...if you can't that's okay too because it won't take food off my table to donate the postage costs.

Do you just HAVE to use a full face mask? Like is your nose so congested most of the time that you are forced to mouth breathe and need the full face mask?

Wow, that's extremely generous. I am a very heavy mouth breather and have pretty narrow nasal passages so I don't want to explore nasal options just yet but perhaps at some point in the future.

The two masks I was looking at are the Fisher and Paykel Simplus or Vitera. I can't use anything with magnetic clips because my wife uses an insulin pump for type 1 diabetes. I will gladly pay more than just the postage if you have either of those but no worries if not!

Yeah, I'm very sensitive to the light so this would make sense for me too.

I will look around and see if I have one of those or both. What size do you think?

It will be later today before I get a chance to take inventory of what I have. I will let you know.
Might even have some sort of nasal mask that you can maybe try in the future if you want to.

I know I saw some off brand hybrid full face mask....heck, it might be a nice mask and the price is sure right.
Bunch of hoses as well. That was just from an initial glance when I opened the box. It was a big box so there's lots of stuff in there.

Probably medium or large. Supposedly, the Simplus is a one frame fits all deal. And as far as off brand stuff, I'm willing to try it!

Thanks so much for checking and take your time!

The off brand hybrid is the fit pack I think. So should have all sizes but I need to pull it out of the box and check it out.
I say "off brand" because it isn't a brand I have ever heard of but you never know about a mask. I have tried some that I thought looked horrible and just wouldn't work and they ended up being quite nice and some I just "knew" would be good but they were a total disaster.....like the ResMed "i" series with the hose attaching at the top and I tried all versions of it (full face, nasal cushion, nasal pillows) and hated them all. I don't own a full face mask but then I rarely have nasal congestion issues that can't be dealt with in traditional ways. I don't do any mask that touches the bridge of my nose area. For me that actually causes congestion. I get congestion sometimes just from the weight of my glasses on my nose.

I vaguely remember seeing the F & P Simplus in my other donations box but I don't know if I still have it or not.
So I will check that donations box as well.

I'll try whatever at this point! For some reason I just cannot get rid of annoying leaks with the Evora no matter how many adjustments I make or how many different sizes I've tried.

I've heard that sometimes finding the best mask is the most difficult piece of all this so I'm open to stuff.

I really do appreciate you checking the boxes for me. It's far too kind!

Any leak that disturbs our sleep is unwanted....even if it doesn't rise to large leak territory.
Our sleep is very fragile. You don't stand a chance of seeing much improvement in sleep or how you feel when you have very many arousals from leaks.

I have always said that finding the right mask is the hardest part of this whole cpap journey. If a person isn't comfortable with a mask they probably won't sleep so great and sleep is why we do all this crap. Comfort is critical.
Now I know that I sometimes mouth breathe with my mouth uncovered by a mask but it doesn't wake me up and it's rare that it happens so I don't really worry about the leaks when they don't wake me up having to fiddle with the mask.
I learned a long time ago that doing something to force my mouth shut ended up causing me more sleep problems than the leaks caused so I just don't do anything like taping or chin strap or cervical/jaw support.

Gotta go to town and run some errands and then I can start looking for some masks for you.
I know I don't have very many full face masks but I do have some.

More later.
