Best travel CPAP with humidifier

I am looking for a lightweight, small, quiet, no nonsense APAP for when I travel. I need to use a humidifier. I see some gadgets that connect to the tubing and capture moisture that replaces a humidifier. Are they any good?

Any recommendations?

I travel with My Resmed AS 11 .. It came with a carry case has a built in humidifer ..
I have not tried a machine sold as a travel model and see no need for one ..
I haven't flown with a cpap machine .. But understand that a cpap doesn't
count as a carry on bag ..

The only travel device, with a humidifier was the DreamStation Go. But I'm not sure they've have a safe foam replacement, or are available anymore.

I would suggest not using a travel device. They are often:

• No humidity
• Noisy
• Expensive
• Not all that much smaller
• Expensive
• Not data capable
• Limited options

They are a compromise.

They are called Heat Moisture Exchangers. And they work for some people and others don't get much value.

Buy a pack, turn off your humidity and try it, before investing in a portable CPAP.

I think you'll find most experienced travelers would rather have their main with them... I have not needed CPAP on a plane, sitting upright prevents most of my OSA, and gone are the days when you could fold up the seat arms in the middle row of an L-1011 and sleep.

That said, if you do decide to get one, make sure you try it before you fly it... sucks to get there and find out you can't tolerate the noise or lack of humidity or etc.

And *never* check your machine in your luggage... way sucks to get there and find your luggage did not make it. Carry it on and never let it out of your sight!

Don't stress about distilled water... bottled water is fine. If you can drink it, you can CPAP it.

I always travel with the same machine w/humidifier that I use at home.
I know it works and how it works.
IF you are still in compliance you need to use the equipment insurance is paying for.
Be sure to put a name tag on your carry-on - there will be others with the same bag who may just grab yours by mistake.
I put mine in a carry-on with wheels along with my meds and everything I need for the cpap including outlet adapters, extension cord, DC cord, spare mask, and distilled water as that is also exempt.
Who knows what the sewer water will be like where you are going?

Should you decide to check your equipment - who knows if it will end up at the same place you are going?
Or if you are delayed and need it where you are at?
I saw on the news where airlines are now thinking about shipping your luggage (early) on a different aircraft - what a mistake that will be.
What are they thinking?
