Best cpap machine
Best cpap machine
Recently had a sleep study. I have mild sleep apnea. They are recommending Luna G3. I want to make sure I’m getting a good machine. I am even willing to upgrade and pay the difference. I want a machine that is user friendly. Anyone have a Luna G3? Any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you.
Re: Best cpap machine
Who is they?
Not many Luna users here afaik
I think most here would recommend a Resmed cpap.
IF you are paying I would get the Autoset 10 model.
Reasons are they are good cpaps.
there are lots of users.
AND there are lots of spare parts for them.
Always get a copy of your sleep study results and the equipment order (aka - script) from the Dr.

I've got a G3 Bilevel.....I've no direct experience if any other machines to compare it with but I can say that it's easy to use, appears to be well built with no fundamental issues that I can see.
The prevailing View here seems to be get a resmed because it's well understood and is compatible with OSCAR.....these are both compelling reasons if someone else is paying but, if you are self funding, the relative price difference between tje two shouldnt be ignored......software is available to monitor detailed data with the only thing missing being a graph for flow limitations.
If it's the only option....don't panic, these machines all do the same thing....if someone else is paying go for the Resmed.....otherwise it's up to you whether the OSCAR support is worth the extra cost.

Just to spell out important details, people are discussing the ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset machine.
My two cents: it has a long and excellent track record and is compatible with Oscar (software for visualizing data from the SD card) and Sleep HQ (an online platform for visualizing the data from the SD card). It's a quiet machine with very smooth pressure support (called EPR on this machine), if you use that kind of setting.
If you find a good deal on a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset For Her, that's just as good. (It has an extra mode of operation said to be especially helpful to women.) The newest machine is the ResMed Airsense 11 Autoset. Users seem to think it's fine, though of course it doesn't yet have as long a track-record as the 10.
