Close as I can get with a conversion
My husband has an old Fisher & Paykel autopap that is on its last leg. I recently bought a used Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto from an estate sale. I thought it was a standard autopap when I purchased but after getting home I realized it’s much more than that. My husband’s current machine is wide open at 6 to 20. Is there a way I can get anywhere close to this with a conversion?

You sure can make the AirCurve work like the F & P.
Easy peasy.
These settings on the AirCurve
Mode...Auto bilevel
Minimum EPAP....6
Maximum IPAP ....20
PS is pressure support and sort of equal to any exhale relief setting he might have used.
If no exhale relief was used then set PS to 0
If exhale relief was used then set PS to whatever the exhale relief was...either 1, 2 or 3.
The AirCurve 10 VAuto is the machine that I use....so I am very familiar with it.
Do you know how to get into the clinical menu so you can change the settings?
If not you can request the clinical/provider manual from this place
https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap- ... tup-manual
via email....scroll down the page and it explains how to request the manual
Don't forget to go in and erase all past user data...manual explains that as well.
You don't want someone else's data mixing with his.
While in the clinical menu go ahead and reset the settings to factory default to start with because there are some other settings that you will see and most people will do just fine with the factory defaults.,,,things like trigger or Timin or Timax...just use the factory defaults to start with.
