Well, I GIVE UP!! I tried Poligrip Strips numerous times, Seabond paper things (just awful), and Fixodent Cream. The cream held better than the others, but it was a bear to remove, not painful, just goopy and unwilling to be removed. Yuck. During my experiments, I used my old favorite, Medvance 2-inch wide silicone tape once when I had nothing new to try. To my surprise, I got the best leak score! When I told my husband he said that he did well with it and wondered why I did not. Being the cheapskate that I am, I proudly used the same strip for four or five days. He rightly said that I need to use each strip only once, and he is right.
So that is my present plan.
Why the Polident strips did not work for me when they work beautifully for others is a mystery to me. I REALLY wanted those to work. Well, live and learn.
