Hi all, I have been using my CPAP machine for about two years now. I am literally struggling during the days feeling like I am not getting enough sleep. Fatigued, can't think, and sometimes blurred vision to a point towards the evenings. I have been in and out of hospitals w/ elevated red blood cells which they tested me for bone cancer in which came back negative. (bone marrow biopsy) I am led to believe it is due to sleep apnea as I have been told I quit breathing in my sleep. Lack of oxygen and body compensating by flooding with red blood cells. I have since gotten under control via donating blood. I have recorded my O2 readings every night for the past 1.5 years as well as purchased a Resmed 10 autoset and have played with the settings over the months. I have a reading of a night without the machine, as well as readings with the machine, and then also readings after adding an oxygen concentrator to the unit. To be honest I'm so out of it during the days (just went to doctor today and had them refer out to get a sleep study done)
I just need some guidance if I have machine set correct or if I even need it. I see that my o2 dipped to maybe 87% for only 12 seconds or so and wondering if I can get by without even wearing it and maybe improve my sleep quality. I wake up throughout the night with it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, I have all the O2 readings available as well if that helps.
Please note this is on a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset. I have also purchased a ResMed Aircurve ASV if I need to use this one instead.

Re: Need help reading Oscar sleep readings
Your sleep / breathing may be disrupted by either the EPR , the minimum pressure being too low, or even the pressure changes. None of those disruptions, which may be causing arousals are counted by the machine, but you can see them in your choppy pressure chart, and that "spiny" flow chart.
If you want to stay with Auto mode,
Set your minimum pressure at 9.2 at the very least - that's slightly abover your present median, which means you're sleeping half the night at higher pressures.
And then see how you sleep with lower EPR.
An alternative is to decide to go for fixed pressure - starting out at 9.2 - or higher. What to start out at is once again a case of playing by ear, based on how well you tolerate the change. See if you can start with less EPR here too.
