Feeling worse on CPAP

Post by kittie » Sat Sep 02, 2023 8:11 am

Hi,

I've been using my Airsense 11 for 3 months now. My partner is happy that I don't snore anymore, my AHI is always below 1, I don't wake up in the middle of the night (as far as I'm aware). Everything seems fine but I feel even more tired than before.
There are two things I've noticed. My breathing rate shoots up the moment I fall asleep en stays rather high and my average SPO2 is 92. I suspect this is the reason I still feel tired.
Could the CPAP machine be the cause of my high breathing rate? Or am I just too anxious? Should I be worried about something?

This is my data from last night:

I have also uploaded to SleepHQ:

p.s. yes I slept almost 12 hours without waking up and this is not an exception.

Do you take any medications of any kind? Even OTC? If so, what?

Do you have any other physical or mental health issues?

Yes, I've been taking antidepressants on the lowest dose for a long time now: sertraline en Nortriptyline and a multivitamin because I had gastric sleeve surgery.
Other than that, no health issues.

According to the attached report, you slept for over eleven hours.

This indicates that either you're chronically sleep deprived (from years of untreated sleep apnea), or that there's another issue present (or both).

If it's the former, you should get caught up in a while. If it's the latter, you'll need to see your sleep doc again.
