ResMed AirTouch F20

Post by LeftyS7 » Sat Aug 19, 2023 7:32 am

After using it for a few hours my nose itches so much that it wakes me and I cannot continue sleeping with it on. I don't want to use Vaseline or cream because I'm afraid it will ruin the spongy rim.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Any suggestions as to how to deal with the itches?

Before masking up, wash your nose.
Rub vigorously, to remove irritants and desensitize the skin.
Unscented baby wipes can be used while in bed.

nose itches
Rub the nose lightly with a clean cotton washcloth just before you don the mask. This helps to deaden the nerve endings near the skin surface.

Keep the nostril hairs trimmed to a reasonable length. If they are too long, the itching will feel like it is on the outside of the nose.

Do self-hypnosis.
